Day 3
Come to Craggaunowen, ‘the Living Past’ and see the ‘Brendan Boat’, a replica of the boat believed to have been used by St Brendan, reputed to have discovered America centuries before Columbus! Also here is 16th century Craggaunowen Castle; Spend the afternoon at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park – the 15th century castle is surrounded by reconstructed dwellings from times past.
Day 4
Explore your natural surroundings with an energetic walk along the East Clare Way – maybe not the whole 112 miles of it! Or spend the day boating on Lough Derg... Browse local bookshops/craftshops....

Day 6
Experience King John’s Castle, a fortified 13th century castle in the heart of medieval Limerick; Visit The Hunt Museum, exhibiting one of Ireland’s greatest private collections of art and antiquities, including works by Renoir, Picasso and Yeats; See the Treaty Stone, where the Treaty of Limerick was signed in 1691 by both the Irish and English armies.
